FusionStorm Foundation provides the top quality medical care for the horses in the program. FSF team works closely with a our Veterinarians to manage the illnesses, injuries and over all health of the horses.
The Veterinarian is to give each horse an wellness exam when they come in. This will also be done on a yearly basis to evaluate the progress and maintenance of each horses.
The vets check the over all health of the horses body condition first and than decides what direct and most pertinent issues need to be done first.
Checking the age of horses and teeth. Floating is done yearly but some horses will need every 6 months and some require dental surgery and teeth removal.
Blood work is done to each horse to evaluate the horses health. Senior panel and allergy panels are ran for Cushing and food, planets and food allergies.
X-rays are taken of the horses hooves to show the farriers what is happening to correct angles and proper shoeing.
Eye or vision exam is needed for the horses safety.
Lameness and Soundness exam.
The vet will check for the level of lameness and soreness if the horses shows signs.
Fecal and urine analysis are taken for parasites and infections.
X-rays and ultrasound are also taken if necessary on injuries to access the severity of the horse.
Medications for the horses are prescribed by our vets pertaining to each horse.
Beamer blanket and laser treatment.
The Beamer blanket and boots promote regeneration after injury or illness. It’s a valuable support during the healing process. Tendons/ ligaments, muscle tension, joint, and intense strains. Helping warm up or cool down muscles while soothing the horses sore body.
Laser treatment
Laser treatment invigorates physiological functions, dismiss inflammation, analgesics enhancement and helps discomfort.
The Laser offer relief joint pain and rehabilitation therapy and inflammation reduction. The laser will target healing directly and offers a more rapid results.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture offer a direct way to open blood flow to injured areas and promote healing to areas that are blocked.
Chiropractic treatment
The horses as they suffered injuries and aging they are stiff and sore. A monthly adjustment keeps them more agile and comfortable. The horses can re injury themselves by slipping or over doing.
